Sat. Oct 3rd is our 13th Annual Fall Boutique! We encourage all of our church members to support this great event. The profits are used for various mission projects in our local church, city, in Nebraska and World-Wide. Everyone can contribute baked goods, come for lunch at noon, and volunteer your time on Fri morning or on Saturday. Volunteering your time at an event such as this is a great way to get to know other members of our church family. Please, join us!

Christian Dexter Benefit/Blood Drive Christian Bradley Dexter was diagnosed with Leukemia on July 14, 2009. Christian is the 2 1/2 year old son of Brad and Janelle Dexter. The treatment plan (3 years) will be very costly. Please help our members, Brad and Janelle as they struggle with this financial impact. You can support them by attending the lunch on Sunday October 18th at St. Andrew’s; lunch will be served immediately after the 10:00 service. There will also be a silent auction, face painting, and bounce house! Christian’s treatment has included and will include many more blood transfusions. We extend our sympathy to Shari Degroot, Mary Dougherty and their family at the passing of Shari’s mother, Louise Converse.
Eleanor Davis is hospitalized at Methodist.
Gina Hansen is scheduled for surgery on October 1st.
Susan Harrison is scheduled for surgery on October 7
Madonna Sappenfield is scheduled for surgery on October 15.
Don Carmichael remains in hospice care.
Kevin Kathka’s mother is receiving cancer treatment, as are Kathy Radachi’s friend, Linda, and Molly Scritchfield’s father, Bruce.
Scott Hansen asks us to remember his friend, David, recuperating from stroke.
Wade & Christine Behlen ask us to remember their friend, Jason, recovering from a stroke.
Dee Harold’s sister-in-law, Sharon, is critically ill.
Let’s close today with this wonderful reading from Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, chapter 3, starting at verse 14:
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.
