The Christian Dexter Benefit held at the church this weekend was a great success. Many people came out to eat, donate, bid, and most importantly give blood. Both KPTM and KMTV were covering the benefit. Click the links below to see some of the coverage from the benefit. Christian Dexter’s parents really encourage people to give blood, watch for St. Andrew’s to be helping out with the Red Cross again.

FROM PAM FLEURY: Christmas is coming........Rehearsals for the annual Intergenerational Christmas Cantata will begin this Wednesday, Oct. 21st from 6:30-7:15 in the sanctuary. All youth, grades 6-12, and adults are invited to be a part of this choir. This is a great opportunity for families to sing together during the holiday season. The cantata will be performed the weekend of Dec. 12th and 13th with the Sunday School rooms joining us on Sunday at 10:00. Last year we had almost 100 youth and adults singing. We would love to have at least that many and hopefully more for this year's Christmas cantata. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Pam Fleury at 498-9023 or plfleury@mpsomaha.org or Adam Witte.

Youth ministries had a great weekend. The senior high kids enjoyed hanging out by the campfire at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch on Saturday. A special thanks to Greg and Pam Twist for donating the campfire site. The middle school kids helped the residents at the Parson’s House decorate pumpkins. The kids were so kind and patient with the residents. The kids and I had the opportunity to pray with one of our church members who is a resident at the Parson’s House. We ended the weekend with fun, games, and pizza at Sunday night youth group.
This Saturday the MIDDLE SCHOOL will have their annual HALLOWEEN PARTY here at the church 7pm to 9pm. We will be having a costume contest, fear factor, and fellowship. Please RSVP by Wednesday by e-mailing me at bobdavis@standrewsomaha.net
