MANDY BARKHAUS reports: We had 78 youth in Sunday school this weekend, 246 children in Sunday school; we served 700 hotdogs and countless number of bowls of ice cream with sprinkles! Thank you to all who helped volunteer with cooking, serving, games or teaching Sunday school. We are off to a great start!

There are so many people to thank for a truly memorable STEPPIN’ UP WEEKEND. Let’s give it a try: Netta Pollock, Kris Simerly and Wendy Linville for their leadership of the Children’s Ministry. Tracey Bellamy and the Willie Wonka Kids, who gave Nancy a rich metaphor for her sermon, even helping to act it out! The Reckless Abandon Drama Team for providing the food. Joe Scahill for his heart-warming message at 8:30. Pam Fleury for Pure Imagination! All the people who stepped up as Church School teachers. All the parents who brought their children. All the volunteers who helped with the post-service party. I’m sure that’s just scratching the surface. The fall season is off to a great start!

Will you pray with us?
Hear our prayer, O Lord. We have much to be thankful for this Monday. Thank you for the children who Stepped Up to new classes this weekend. Thank you for teachers and helpers who have Stepped Up to lead. Thank you for a wonderful turnout in the Youth Department. This is VERY EXCITING! Using imagery from Nancy’s message: I pray that St. Andrew’s will be a fertile garden producing an abundant harvest of young people who will adorn your kingdom. You are very good to us. Amen
